1. Proč jste se přihlásili do projektu Otevřená věda Akademie věd ČR a co vás zaujalo na této stáži?
As I mention in more detail in my cover letter, I have decided to apply for this project and specifically for this internship because I believe that it will greatly help me in my further academic development. I am intrigued by the possibility of using applied data science in an interesting field of physics and the opportunity to work under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, such as yourself, in a real scientific workplace. I am eager to learn how to work with the computer software developed at the institute.
2. Představte si, že jste vynálezci – co byste vynalezli a proč?
There are countless things I want to invent or build. For example, I have been trying for a long time to find time to set up a device that would feed only our cats and drive the others away from our shelter. I want to invent the "reverse microwave" – i.e., a commercially available device that could cool meals and drinks within minutes. I would like to set up and program a device that would give me the perfect drink to every meal based on my past preferences. My head is simply filled absurd and often impossible ideas, but if I had the opportunity to invent any one thing in the world, it would probably be some ground-breaking technical solution in a quantum computer, which would ensure an infinitely long preservation of quantum information in an affordable way and guarantee a 100% reliability.
3. Vaše záliby, koníčky:
My hobbies and interests are quite diverse and fast-changing. Apart from participating in various educational programs, working on a Students’ Professional Activities (SPA) paper, and countless other activities related to natural sciences, mathematics, or programming, I like to spend my free time studying foreign languages, such as Spanish or English, playing football or watching American Football and Formula 1. I appreciate a good philosophy book - I'm currently reading through Nietzsche's On the Genealogy of Morality. Of course, I also like to relax occasionally by playing mobile or board games.
